Prior to opening the pool this Saturday, May 23rd and with COVID-19 challenges to consider, it is necessary for us to update some of our rules to help maintain the health and safety of our members.
These rules are effective immediately and are subject to change at any time due to the current climate:
Wipes, hand sanitizer and spray sanitizer will be available for your use as we can supply them to wipe down grills, bathrooms and chairs as needed. Use only what you need and, if possible, please bring your own.
If you use a grill, wipe it down after your use. Do not move the grills.
The refrigerator in the office will not be for public use. Bring coolers with items you want to drink, eat or grill. Reminder—no glass containers.
CRP will close earlier than our normal posted hours to allow a board member/volunteer to do a nightly cleaning of all common areas and bathrooms.
Our hours will be Sun-Thurs 8am-9pm and Fri-Sat 8am-10pm.
There will be no lost and found. If you leave any item at the pool - toys, clothing, anything - it will be thrown away during the evening cleaning.
Some tables and seating areas will be marked off with tape to help ensure social distancing. Do not use these tables or chairs. The cement tables on the grass areas are 6’ apart. Use your discretion and good judgment to keep your distance when using these.
No parties or guests will be allowed at the pool at this time. If you are not a member and listed as a person on the membership form, you will not be permitted in. The board voted to do this to ensure as many members as possible can enjoy CRP while we have capacity limits and social distancing guidelines.
As a general reminder, no floats are permitted in the deep end and no playing on the rope. We’ve added a blue painted line on the pool bottom to help mark the beginning of the deep end.
A lifeguard will be on duty on the weekends and will help us implement maximum occupancy guidelines in the pool as stated by the CDC and government.
Should any rules be broken this summer we reserve the right to revoke your membership without refund.
We are thrilled that we have been able to replace our pump and the large portion of our back fence thanks to your memberships, donations and purchase of fence panels. The board and some volunteers have been working tirelessly to get CRP up, running and better than ever for this summer! We know this season will have its own set of challenges due to Covid-19, so we’re glad that some of the pool issues are behind us.
We look forward to seeing you all this summer and hope you understand our updated policies are in place for your benefit so we can all enjoy the pool safely this summer.
MEMBERSHIP YOU CAN AFFORD Membership is priced for value and is based on household size. Families can enjoy an entire season of swimming and club activities for about the same price as three outings of dinner and a movie.
FACILITIES The main pool is 75-ft long with a diving board. There is also a toddler pool, a covered picnic pavilion, barbecue grills, plenty of tables, chairs and lounges, a play area, horseshoe pits, as well as on-site restrooms. Water chemistry is verified twice daily all season. If chemicals are added, the pool will be cleared and signage will indicate the time at which swimming can resume. This is never longer than one hour.
NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENCY Club Royal is a private membership pool whose mission is to promote family activities and friendships
with your neighbors in the local neighborhoods. Membership is generally limited to our neighbors living in the neighborhoods around the pool
like West Royal Haven, Park Forest and Royal Hills, which is an area bounded by Forest Lane, Marsh Lane, Royal Lane and Webb Chapel Rd. Residents
that live outside these neighborhoods are welcome to apply to the Board for a membership based on factors like, close relatives are members of the pool,
your residence is near the boundaries, you have been a member or supporter who moved to another area. The Board can consider these and other factors for your membership.
It is important to join early in the season because memberships may be limited if the Board determines the capacity of the pool has been reached.
MEMBERS ONLY ACCESS Members receive a four digit code to operate the gate. Sharing gate
codes with non-members is cause for a revoked membership. Gate code changes will be communicated to members
at various times throughout the season. Always ensure the gate closes and locks behind you as there is no
full-time staff on duty to secure the club. Members must always sign-in every time they visit the pool.
Guests must be recorded on the sign-in sheet and the $5 per guest fee paid for upon arrival.
FRIENDS ARE WELCOME. Club Royal members may bring guests for a $5 fee per guest. Guests must always be accompanied by a member.
A guest is defined as a non-member who is visiting from outside of the neighborhood. Neighborhood residents are not considered guests.
Neighborhood residents should join as members to enjoy the club!
OPEN HOURS The pool is open to members all day, every day during the season.
Pool hours are 8 am–10 pm Sunday – Thursday, 8 am–midnight Friday - Saturday.
Please be courteous of our neighbors during early and late hours. Please refrain from playing loud music or yelling at all times.
Quiet hours are enforced after 10:00 PM. Members may bring their own coolers with food, drinks, and adult beverages.
Glass containers are never allowed. Gas grills are available for your use!
MEMBER PARTIES Club Royal members can host their own parties.
Parties are defined as a group of more than 5 guests hosted by a member.
Parties must be scheduled in advance and require a $75 party fee plus $3 per guest.
CLUB HOSTED EVENTS Our social committee plans various family parties,
especially on the summer holidays. These are affordable ways to socialize with your friends
and make new ones! Socials are some of the most popular events at Club Royal.
We enjoy cookouts, live music, games, and plenty of swimming.
LIFEGUARDS Club Royal hires lifeguards for large parties and certain club activities by request.
No lifeguard is on duty for normal day-to-day swimming.
Children should always be accompanied by an adult.
Lifeguard staffing levels vary historically based on membership numbers and activism.
SWIM TEAM AND LESSONS Club Royal hosts the Dallas Dolphins swim team. Swim team and swim
lesson activities vary seasonally based on interest and support. For questions about membership, swim team, swim lessons or to book a party please visit the Contact page.
